If your video or audio is choppy or lagging during a session, OR if you see an alert at the top of the screen that your network connection is weak, here are a few steps you can take to improve your internet connection:
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of your internet browser
Updating to the latest version ensures better video connection and stability. We always recommend using the latest version of your browser is possible. To learn how to update your browser, try using the links below.
- Move closer to your internet router
If you are connected to a Wi-Fi network for internet connection, you can try moving closer to your internet router, as the Wi-Fi signal can get blocked by walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, etc.
- Restart your modem and router
Unplug your modem or wireless gateway, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Next, repeat the process with your router.
Restarting these devices clears out the devices’ memories, which can help clear out any glitches.
Finally, turn off the Wi-Fi on your device. Wait a few seconds and then turn the Wi-Fi back on. Allow these devices to reconnect to the Wi-Fi.
- Use an Ethernet cable if possible
If you have an Ethernet cable available and are close to your modem, try using it to connect your device to your modem for the duration of your Parallel session. This will ensure more consistent internet connection over the entire session time.
