Welcome to Parallel!
Parallel uses an online video platform and suite of tools to deliver remote services. As a Parallel session facilitator, you will generally support students by:
1. Communicating with Parallel provider(s) about student sessions and scheduling
2. Supporting students with logging in to access Parallel services
3. Supporting students during their sessions as needed
The level and exact nature of facilitator support will depend upon various student-centered factors - the Parallel team is here to support you at every step of the way! More in depth details on how you can best support your students is available here.
If you haven't yet set up your Parallel account, please visit the guide that walks you through this process before proceeding. If you run into any issues with setting up or accessing Parallel, please reach out to support@parallellearning.com for assistance.
Additional Note: The Parallel team recommends using the Google Chrome web browser to access Parallel.
Both video and written guides are provided below to walk you through the different aspects of Parallel services.

2. Parallel providers classify sessions using different statuses that are marked and color-coded on the calendar.

- Canceled sessions appear gray on the calendar - You can click on a canceled session to confirm the reason for cancelation
- No-Show sessions are marked No-Show and appear red on the calendar
- Sessions that do not have a status and appear blue on the calendar are either upcoming or have not yet been marked by the provider
3. To join a session, click on the upcoming session you wish to join on behalf of a student on the session calendar and click Join Session.
Note: It’s important to allow your web browser to access the camera and microphone on each device used to access Parallel. Please select allow any time Parallel requests access to the camera and microphone.
4. After clicking Join Session, you will be brought to a Telehealth page. On this page, you should see a live camera feed. If you see a black square or an error message, double check to make sure nothing is obstructing your camera and follow any troubleshooting instructions on your screen. You can confirm the date and time of the session on this screen to make sure you're in the right place at the right time. To proceed to the waiting room, select the student you are joining on behalf of under Select your student account.
5. The session will take a moment to load before you enter into the waiting room. It may take some time for the provider to let you into the session depending on when you join.
| 💡Note: If you are using session codes to support students with logging into sessions, have students bookmark https://telehealth.parallellearning.com/join on their own devices and send them the code for their daily session(s) provided in the Daily Session Summary email. Each session code can also be found on the Join Session button! |
